first went to Shirley after being referred to her by my podiatrist. I was having intense pain in my heels, especially the edge of my heels and my podiatrist suggested a career change, shoe inserts, and Shirley. So far I’ve got the shoe inserts and Shirley. The insoles seem to help a bit but Shirley is who truly helped me get back on my feet, literally.  She was actually able to find out the root cause of my pain based on my movement and description of pain. She gave me tools to cure my problem rather than just treat it. She is so knowledgeable and patient in teaching movement and stretches. I never feel rushed during a session even if I manically burst through the door behind schedule.

While I was seeing her I also had a minor neck/shoulder injury (2017 was a fun one). She aided recovery and I’m totally healed now.
I can’t say enough good things about her. She has hands of magic, strong but gentle, and is super intuitive. I highly suggest her to anyone seeking pain relief or just needing to relieve stiffness and redirecting the way you use your muscles.Very knowledgeable, helped me with my overhand shoulder issues, was very understanding when it came to my problems committing to exercises at home. Best physical therapist I ever remember seeing.
  • Danny S.I cannot recommend Shirley more. I had a badly herniated C6/7 disc which resulted in muscle contraction and atrophy in my left arm and pecs. My posture was slightly unbalanced because of that. Under Shirley’s guidance we brought we stretched my muscles and got rid of contractions, and really made me feel regain balance and flexibility. She is super good listener and observer, and really knows her stuff. Hope not to need her any more, but if I ever do I know where to go now.
  • Stephanie W.I went to see Shirley for hip and low back pain / injury after being desperately frustrated with a previous treatment plan that left me more or less incapacitated. She was very kind and compassionate when assessing my situation, and gave me the confidence to explore a new path to healing. Within 2 visits, I had significantly less pain and more mobility than I had experienced in the previous 5 months. 5 weeks later, I feel strong, mobile, confident, and excited about the things my body can do. I am doing more now than I was before my injury (and I was working out A LOT before my injury). And, each visit seems to unlock new possibilities. She helped me really understand the patterns I’ve developed over time and break them apart so I can be as active as I want to be without causing myself pain. She’s brilliant and insightful and has a great bedside manner that makes it easy to learn from her. My sessions with her are the bright spots in my week – I can’t recommend her highly enough.
  • Krankee C. Shirley combines magnetic pulse energy, Pilates, massage and 100% full one-on-one therapy. She’s the best! Ive gone to many therapists over the years for the same injury, and Shirley surpasses them all with her knowledge of the body, concern for your healing, and even will video your take home lesson on your phone so you don’t deal with some sub-par handouts that other therapists easily hand out. It’s your uniques body, injury, and healing. She’s there to get you back on track.
  • Sam S.  First to ReviewAn awesome mix of Pilates and PT to help you with your injuries. Shirley is very knowledgeable in both movement and alignment. Combined with prolotherapy (at a different office) I definitely made some strides (pun intended) in terms of reducing my pain in my knees and back. She is also very friendly and easy going–she never yelled at me for being a little late to appointments. Highly recommended overall.
